Things To Do

Tenterden & The Weald

On the farm

All guests are welcome to access the camping field at any time of the year and meet and greet the alpacas and sheep at no extra charge. The alpacas like chopped up carrots. If you would like a guided tour, please feel free to ask.

We also have a small fishing lake that guests are welcome to use for a small donation. We restocked last year and there are carp and several species of smaller silver fish. It is ideal for beginners and children.
Note: any children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please note that weekends between June and September and the summer holidays, there will be campers sharing the field. Please see our facebook page for more details.

Local activities

Setts Wood Farm is perfectly positioned to explore Tenterden and the surrounding villages, and is less than a 20 minute drive to the historic town of Rye.

Beaches such as Camber Sands and Dymchurch as well as several others are less than 30 minutes away. Hastings and Battle are slightly further afield.

Feeling physical?
Walks and cycle rides abound. Cycles can be provided by Wider Experience for an extra cost, plus suggested routes or even guided tours.
Headcorn Aerodrome for sky diving, parachute jumps and it hosts several events over the year.
Action Watersports – my children’s favourite – for water skiing, rides, inflatables, paddle boarding and more.
